How to Keep the Glass Doors in Your Shower Looking Shiny and Beautiful

The beauty of glass enclosures and glass doors in showers or bathrooms is unsurpassed.
Even small bathrooms take on the appearance of being more spacious and airy. However, glass doors are susceptible to residue, scratches, dirt and other elements that can reduce their natural luster.
By caring for glass doors in showers and bathrooms properly, the glass will retain its beautiful, shiny sleekness and a clear, clean, crisp look for years to come. Follow these easy cleaning steps:
- When cleaning the glass doors, use a shower cleaner that’s non-abrasive. Avoid products that are called “scrubs.” Buy a product that has been created specifically for glass. These disinfect and protect glass doors from getting scratched while you are cleaning them. Rub the glass with a nylon brush that’s strong enough to remove residue but soft enough not to damage the glass. The bristles of a toothbrush don’t scratch glass.
- After cleaning, rinse the shower with hot water to prevent the cleaner from settling on the glass. If you don’t rinse thoroughly, the glass will look dull.
- Use white vinegar to remove hard water mineral deposits. Dip a sponge into the vinegar and wipe across the glass doors to keep them clean and free of water damage.
TIP: After showering, use a towel to dry the glass. This will wipe away soap scum and mineral deposits that could become ingrained in the glass over time. While showering, try to refrain from splashing shampoo or soap onto the glass doors.
